CONFERENCE

Dear Colleagues, We are happy to announce the forthcoming 48th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons from the 14th to 17th of February 2002. The Conference Venue will be the Taj Coromandel Hotel at Chennai. The city of Chennai has an impressive cultural heritage with Monuments and Temples that are more than a thousand years old. At the same time the City is a vibrant Metropolis with all conveniences of a modern City. The 48th Annual Conference will be presided over by Dr.Nithyananth V.Mandke and the scientific committee will be chaired by Dr. Sudhansu Bhattacharya who are both acknowledged authorities in the filed of Coroary Artery Surgery, especially Beating Heart Surgery. The theme of the Conference will be "Newer Perspectives in the management of Coronary Artery Disease". The conference hopes to gather together a host of International and national Delegates to address the problems of cardiac Surgery with special reference to South East Asian Countries. In order to make the conference a unique experience, we hope to give you a glimpse of the Coromandel coast and the highly evolved and ancient art forms of South India.
